Carnival Breeze 2022 – 5 day countdown: First-aid kit and hair care products.

Our first aid kit is kept in a tri-fold travel organizer bag I purchased from Thirty One several years ago. Unfortunately, they no longer have this style but they have some that are similar. Once we are on board, I hang it on the bathroom door using a command strip. Basic necessities that I take on a cruise are:

Tylenol

Advis

Tylenol PM

Aspirin

Excedrin Migraine

Band Aids

Hydrocortisone cream

A & D ointment

Athletes foot clotrimazole creame

Absorbine jr back patch pain relief

Cold Hot extra strength medicated patch

Biofreeze

Daytime and Night time cold & flu

Nasal allergy spray

Vitamin C drops

Cough drops

Pepto Bismol

Laxative

Antacid

Uriinary pain relief

Sore throat oral anesthetic spray

Cough syrum

Our prescribed medications are kept separately.

I also have a small first aid kit I keep in my purse that contains band aids, hydrocortisone cream, and my inhaler.

Now for the necessities of life, toiletries and cosmetics. There is a lot to take into consideration when I start gathering all the things. I do my best to keep things separate according to they type. For example, hair products are separate from face products and suntan lotions. Some lotions are in large bottles and will be put into smaller containers in an attempt to save space. I tend to keep the suntan lotions and after sun lotions in their own bag along with the towel holders and our waterproof cases for our phones.

The bag I have designated for hair care contains the normal stuff. The bag I use is large enough to fit a curling iron and/or flat iron in. Since I do not use those tools, this bag will also double for some other bathroom products to be determined later.

Now if you will excuse me, I have more things to wash, pack, and lists to make!!! Not to mention craft projects to start and complete.

Carnival Breeze 2022 – Time to make the lists.

With 4 weeks to go, I have decided it is time to make the lists for this cruise. I will primarily be focusing on clothes and maybe shoes. But I will also include my excessive first aid kit. So lets get started.

Since my first aid kit seems to have more on it than the clothes I will be taking, lets start with it.

I know the list is long but in these times, I want to be prepared for anything and everything including taking a lot of face masks!

I do have a small first aid kit I keep in my purse, but it is very basic.

Now for the clothes. For every cruise I go on, I will make a chart of the days on the cruise and what will be going on those days. This year, I decided to use my handy dandy Plum Planner.

First, I wrote on each day what would be going on. This gives me an idea of what I will wear on that day.

On the opposite page, I wrote in pencil what I plan on wearing that day and evening.

Since I have written everything in pencil, it will be easy to change in my planner should I change my mind about something. And believe me, I already have.

For some reason, when I was putting the clothes together, it appears that I will be taking a lot less clothes than I normally do. This makes my husband so excited. But since it is still early, there may or may not be any changes made to the list. I guess the only way to find out will be to come back for the packing blog which will be up closer to cruise time.

Thanks for reading!!!

Carnival Vista 2021 – Precruise #8 What’s in our first aid kit!

The list of items in our first-aid kit is rather long. But why take any chances when you’re on vacation.

All of the items are contained in a trifold bag I purchased from Thirty-One. It works real well and it is easy to store in our carry-on luggage.

Now for the list, in no particular order.

Tylenol

Advil

Tylenol PM

Aspirin

Excedrin Migraine

Band Aids

Hydrocortisone cream

Athletes foot clotrimazole cream

Absorbine Jr back patch pain relief

Cold and Hot extra strength medicated patch.

Biofreeze.

Day time cold & flu.

Night time cold & flu.

Nasal spray

Vitamin C drops

Cough drops

Pepto Bismol

Laxative

Antacid

So, I guess you can tell I have included just about everything I could think of that could be of use. But if history repeats itself, the only thing we will use are the BandAids and antacids.

Not sure which blog will come next, but I hope it will be something useful.
