It’s one of those days…

Sometimes you just need to step away from your normal daily routine and do something else. Today was one of those days.

Today I decided that I would not work on any wreaths, or scrapbook pages, or anything else craft related. Instead, I spent some time with my granddaughter Victoria. Just like my other grandchildren, she brings me so much joy just being near her.

So, we started off with donuts!!! There is a donut shop, Sweet Donuts, not too far from the house so the plan was to go get donuts and relax a bit.

And then we went to Metro/T-Mobile!!!! Sometimes you just need to do the things!!!!

Now it is time to do my regular job and start worrying about not getting things done like I should!!!!! Oh well, there’s always tomorrow. Maybe I will just dream about our cruise in February…. of the year 2024!!!!!

Carnival Jubilee 2023 has now become CARNIVAL JUBILEE 2024!!!

I booked another cruise!!! I had intended to book the inaugural sailing, but when the dates became available on the 25th, I realized the inaugural would be the week of Thanksgiving. I do not want to leave my mother alone on Thanksgiving, so we are book for February 24, 2024.

This itinerary for this cruise is:

Galveston, leaving at 4pm.

Sea day #1

Sea day #2

Mahogany Bay, 8am to 6pm

Costa Maya, 8am to 6pm

Cozumel 7am to 5pm

Sea day #3

Galveston, arriving at 8am.

This itinerary is familiar to us as we were just at Mahogany Bay and Cozumel on our Carnival Vista cruise in August/September 2021. But we have not been to Costa Maya and are looking forward to seeing a new place.

BONUS for this cruise, my locker-mate from the beginning of middle school to the very end of high school is planning on being on this cruise as well. I’m hoping some other friends will join us too!

I do not think there will be any more blogs for this cruise until it is closer to time and the real planning has begun. But please continue to read my other blogs.

Carnival Jubilee 2023 – the first of what will likely be many installments!

On November 11th, Carnival announced a new ship, Carnival Jubilee, to start sailing out of Galveston in 2023. The has my husband and I so excited.

In August 2002, we went on our Honeymoon cruise on the Carnival Jubilee. It was a 5-night cruise and we enjoyed the ship so much!

When I told Jim about the new ship, his response was “when are we going?” And now you understand why I love my husband so much!

I’m hoping we will be sailing with some high school friends, but I guess only time will tell for sure.
